I am using LPC2378 controller and want to interface AT24C512 EEPROM
with I2C . i have gone through the I2C application notes provided on
the nxp site but i didnt understand , so can any one help me out to
write the I2C interface code .

There's an example of an I2C EEPROM application in the downloads section of
this group. I'd suggest you start there first.
