LPC2131 samples out now, LPC2132-LPC2138 User Manual

Started by johnnorgaard2003 December 17, 2004

Hi All

Just received a sample of LPC2131. Have uploaded LPC2132-LPC2138 User
Manual Prelim.
Have waited 3 months to receive samples from ATMEL AT91SAM7S32, still
no samples.
Have waited 3 weeks from Philips to receive LPC2131.

Philips rules, so do their prices.

Best regards

John

John,
Where did you find a User Manual, I have only preliminary

Hmmmm, the only DS I can find in the files section is a preliminary
copy. Is there a file I am missing?

Rick,

there are even two versions of the UM in the files section. The Data
sheet can be downloaded from Philips.

Yes, I found the UMs and I already have the data sheet from the
Philips site. I thought someone indicated that an up to date data
sheet was available, but I must have misunderstood. The data sheet is
still incomplete with TBDs.

Some of my questions have been answered here in another thread and the
RTC power requirement is too high to use as a conventional RTC. It
requires about 10 to 40 times the current of a standard RTC chip even
though it has an independant power source. If I needed the power of
the ARM CPU with the low current of an RTC, the Atmel AT91M55800A is
still a much better choice. I don't really need the horse power of
the ARM chip, but at the low price I thought it might fit the socket.
But it doesn't do the RTC job well enough.
