Segger / IAR J-Link JTAG and Blue Screen of Death

Started by Dan Beadle March 8, 2005

Check the link below for more details on "JTAG Interface Connection":
http://www.segger.com/jlink.html

I haven't experienced any blue screens while using Jlink. However,
without using the pull-ups/downs the J-link sometimes doesn't
respond at all. In the worst case, EWARM shuts down by itself, and
gives me this send report pop-up window. But ever since implementing
the resistors, JLINK works perfectly.

So, are u using pull-ups & pull downs for required JTAG port pins on
your board? J-Link can work without them, but things will be much
safer if u use them.

Hope this helps,

JLINK with other board from ATMEL -- AT91SAM7 series , result is
same. I have same trouble. Infect my colleague who has another
JLINK, has same issue ...also . He spent 3 days worth of time to
find out this issue.... since every time you cycle power, the
program can break in the interrupt, otherwise, can not break in the
interrupt when there is a breakpoint in interrupt routine.
