crossworks and MSP-FET430UIF

Started by les_kamil September 20, 2006
Hi! i've got crossworks 1.3 and MSP-FET430UIF from TI. When i connect
crossworks to FET (menu:target->connect msp430uif) i got weird
problem. error shows: external voltage is detected, but if i turn off
power supply of my msp430, then nothing happen:( but if i click
target->connect msp430uif usb and after 1 second turn on power
supply, all is ok. More: i have no problem with Lite FET-Pro430
Elprotronic programmer! it starts every time! what i'm doing wrong
with crossworks? (jtag pins are connected ok, i've checked this
thousands times:) see: elptronic is working more than good! :))

Beginning Microcontrollers with the MSP430

You need to set the Vcc in the target interface of the UIF to 0 so that
the UIF is configured not to power the target.
