VHF transceiver chips

Started by Peter Grey November 28, 2012
I have been trying to get evaluation kits on the Silabs Si4463 but they
never seem to be available, although they are listed. Distributors also
seem to have problems and I now wonder if it is wise to keep on with it
as I may not get supplies. Can anyone recommend a chip solution for a
151MHz transceiver? I only need 100mW. I know there are modules out
there but rather expensive.

TIA

Hi Silabs will not talk to you or respond - unless you are committed to buy 10000- 100000 unit minimum

if you plan for less then 10000 unit buy from Digikey - they also stock evaluation board.

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. At present I just want an evaluation board.
Digikey and Mouser have no stock. I asked Mouser for a delivery time and
was told 2 weeks. I ordered and about a month later nothing and no firm
date could be given. I cancelled. A local distributor said 2 weeks to me
and I ordered. A month later nothing. They are still trying. I do not
mind ordering from others beside Silabs but all seem to have no stock.
