Well, I *think* that this should work if you go to the "Options",
"C-SPY", "Flash Emulation Tools" and check the boxes
"Verify Download"
and "Supress Download".

Hello Anders, I tried what you suggested but it does not display any status like "Memory Verified OK" and it does not appear to work. Does the IAR Embedded Workbench from your company, not the "freebie" from TI, perform this function? Hello, We'd hate to have you fork out big bucks for just this function. I know there are a few people on this group who can sell you this function for much cheaper. A list of the MSP430 tools vendors can be found at msp430.info, compliments of Jean Randhahn. Hi! > I tried what you suggested but it does not display any status like > "Memory Verified OK" and it does not appear to work. I haven't tried this myself, but according to our emulator guy the verify phase never reports "ok", it only complains when the verification failed. Please let me know if you have tried this. > Does the IAR Embedded Workbench from your company, not the "freebie" > from TI, perform this function? On this respect there is no difference between the free package and the full. Basically, the only difference between the packages is the size of application that can be built. (We used to have some packages that only supported C and assembler, but today all of our packages support Embedded C++.) -- Anders Lindgren, IAR Systems -- Disclaimer: Opinions expressed in this posting are strictly my own and not necessarily those of my employer.
