Web based monitoring system using RCM2200 and C3188A Cmos Camera

Started by ashveer_ramparsad September 10, 2004
Hi

I am a final year Electronic Engineering student and my design
requires me to develop a web server that will be able to monitor a
baby. I have been given the RCM2200 and the C3188A CMOS camera. I
have decided to use still pictures. Does anybody have any ideas on
how i might be able to do this. One of my problems is that the image
size will be too large for the RCM2200's flash. I was thinking about
adding serial flash, however i dont know if this is possible and i
dont know how to do this.

Another ised was to use a slave circuit that just captures the image
from the camera and stores it. The image will then be split up into
small pieces and then passed to the RCM2200 and displayed on the web
page. However i am unsure if i can split up an image and the
superimpose the parts using HTML to show the full image.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thank You
Ashveer

looking at the imager data sheet, i would put the chip into qvga mode and
send 1/4 of the 360k pixel image. if the project requires the full image,
move the qvga window into each quadrant and send each quadrant by itself. Hi
