Custom Rabbit boards with Dynamic C 9.21

Started by mgrassi4444 November 11, 2005
Hello,

I have wired up my own board, with a Rabbit 2000 (rev. C) CPU and
512Kb of RAM and 256KB flash running from a 7.3728 MHz crystal.

The setup works by coldbooting with my own software I can run small
programs in RAM and even write to FLASH.

The problem I have is that if I try to use Dynamic C 9.21 with this
custom board, it goes through and gets up to Compiling the BIOS, it
tries to Discover board type, and the connection times out.

I get the following error:

"While sending/Compiling BIOS:
Timeout while waiting for response from target. "

This is after it has sent the Initial loader, and the pilot bios.

Any help would really be appreciated!

Many thanks,

Try turning off the poll target check box.

Hello Dean,

I have looked everywhere and my Dynamic C (9.21) does not have this
checkbox to poll or not poll the target.

If anyone can read my earlier post I still have the timeout problem.

Any other ideas??

Many thanks,

In 9.25 the option was relabeled "Enable Processor Verfication"

Under Options -> Project Options
There should be a check box called "Enable Processor Verfication"
disable this box and try again.

Hello,

I have tried disabling processor identification and I get the same
timeout error.

If the checkbox is enabled, it says it cannot find the processor, if
disabled, it gives the timeout error that I've described in my
original post.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this error?

Many thanks,
