Different between ATmega8535 and ATmega16
Started by ●September 11, 2004
Hi everyone,
I'm currently using ATmega8535 to do my development. Apparently, I need more than 8k Flash memory for my code. Will there be any problem or precaution that I should take note if I switch to ATmega16 ?
I have checked that the pin config and the functions are similar. Just want to be sure before I get this chip.
Thanks.
Regards,
Andrew

Appreciate a lot.
Thanks.

Moving applications upward in the AVR line is pretty easy.
Probably the biggest issue you'll face, is making sure the interrupt vector table is correct.

Blatant advertising follows:
If you switch to the ATmega16 and if you decide to take advantage of
the JTAG in-circuit debug capability, please consider the JTAG ICE
adapter I am developing, see http://www.ecrostech.com. I have a
prototype available now with production in a couple of weeks.
