I am having a very strange issue with JTAG debugging and my embedded linux build. Up to and including Linux 2.5.35.9, I have been able to start the JLink JTAG debugger and kernel debug using remote GDB while linux was running. Withe 2.6.36 and later, I can no longer debug. The gdb server can break and read jtag data during boot, up to point where udev runs and I get the console prompt. After th...

Hi guys, I've build my own SAM9260 board and now trying to get the hardware working. My problem at the moment is the JTAG interface. The PEEDI from Ronetix show me a BYPASS error, but ignores it and so it is possibe to access the registers and configure the 9260 via JTAG. My FT2232 based debugger with OpenOCD fails due to a JTAG error. I think this is because of the BYPASS error. ...

Hello friends, i recently get my AT91SAM7S-EK; for JTAG connection i got an ARM wiggler that goes from JTAG port to DB25. Since my lap has no DB25 port i have to connect the wiggler to a DB25 - DB9 - USB cable. (which means that i have a device that converts a DB25 to DB9 and that DB9 output is then connected to a DB9-to-USB cable) Now, i'm working with openOCD but i don't exactly now what i ha...

I am trying to communicate with an AT91SAM7S64 through the JTAG port. I have read the ARM manual including application note 28 and am obviously missing something. I can stop the processor by setting the DBGRQ bit in the Debug Control Register. I can't however see the DBGACK bit being set. Continuing on regardless and probably not suprisingly I can't

I'm a complete noob to the ARM controllers. I picked up an AT91ARM7S 256 and I'm making up a prototype board of my own. I'd like to make up a DIY JTAG as well. Will this Xilinx schematic work with WinARM or GNUARM? I've seen other schematics that are based on the 74HC244, like the one in the files section of the Yahoo group, but I've already thrown this into Eagle, and I already have ...

Hi, I have the following problem. I can upload and verify my software with JTAG to my target board (Evaluation or my own). It is possible to debug it via JTAG. But it is not running as itself.
