Need advice about starting off 8051 development...

ohhh, I will be very happy to known if there are problems with SDCC.
I use it for some little commercial application and for now I have not 
found any big problem at all.

As soon as you pay the price difference, improve the realtime
characteristics of the 32-bit parts, improve the power requirements of
the 32-bit parts, and port and requalify some sixty to eighty million
lines of code spread across hundreds of products, this might start to
look like a good idea.
