Embedded Artists LPC2468 board and cheap Jtag debugger

Started by miklospflancer April 11, 2008
Hi

Could anyone recommend a cheap Jtag debugger for use with this board.
I intend to use free gnu toolset for development. I have looked at the
JTAG key-Tiny from Amontec and arm-usb-ocd from olimex - would either
of these work?

Thanks

FWIW, I use a Rowley CrossConnect with the EA LPC2148 Quickstart. My DIY
JTAG interface (JTAG.zip in the Files section) also works with it.

Hi,

if it is for non-commercial use, Segger offers the J-Link for 98
Euros, that one definitely works and it is fast.
Check here at the bottom of the page:
http://www.segger.com/pricelist_jlink.html
For end customer pricing you need to add VAT and shipping.

If it is for commercial use, I would not even bother to think about
the difference in pricing, given the likelihood of wasting valuable
hours getting the combination to work.

Have a look at www.yagarto.de as well, you will find a "how to" with
GNU tools, an Eclipse based Interface and a couple JTAG emulators.
Once again, if it is for commercial use, I would still go with a
commercial compiler and if you really want GNU, give Rowley a shot.
