3 phase AC drive using LPC2136

Started by Mukund Deshmukh June 24, 2008
finding it difficult to get IR2136 as my driver IC. None of the distributors
encourage me in getting a few No.s of ICs. .
Wthat about PWM and ADC is worryin you. Dont have them in ur controller.
Raj

IR2133 is available in Mumbai.
My only worry is about performance of LPC2136 in noisy environment (e.g.
switching frequency of 20Khz.)
and NOT PWM, ADC

An Engineer's Guide to the LPC2100 Series

I dont think u 'l 've any problem in noisy environment if you r using opto coupler and a EMI filter. I dont know if i'm sure about it, but thats how my board is designed for it.(taking into acc the environmetal noise).

My design is for a 200 watt 3 Phase AC motor. The cost is a major criteria.
I am driving IR2133 inputs directly from LPC. The 325 VDC ground and 5 volt
ground are common, and connected to body, to detect earth fault in motor.

I am not sure if I will use LPC2136, because LPC938 looks more attractive.

I have decided to use LPC938 and not LPC2136, because of PCB space and cost.

hello Mukund Deshmukh,
I had some doubts in the caculation part of the algorithm. Can i know which
application datasheet have you been using for you code development.
I've been using AN955 from microchip in which when i calculated the "vector
angle" value i had some issues. The issue is I wanna know whether Vs is
suposed to lie in a particular sector for a single Ts and is supposed to
increment to the next to sector in the next Ts(ie according to datasheet am
i supposed to get a carry according to the datasheet). or is it ok if the Vs
stays in the same sector for multiple Continues Ts (if the calculations says
so) and then increment to next sector when the carry is developed as the
datasheet says...

dear
Mukund Deshmukh,
But you would be using a resource to understand the algorithm and and to implement it. I was asking abt that so that i could clarify some of my doubts with reference to it.

Regards,
Raj
