I would suggest you also try either CrossOver Office or WINE to get
Dynamic C to work under Linux.

Has anyone actually succeeded? All related info I've seen so far seem
to indicate that the mess that DC is, after fiddling with file naming
and things, you run into a dead end with serial port access and timings.

The editor at least runs in WINE, not sure what if any useable code is
produced.
Yes, secondly I could see where loading it via serial would be an issue.
I just installed Xubuntu at home a little over a week ago, still getting it
'tweeked in'.
