I have a BX35 system assembled on a solderless breadboard. And, also, the BX35 DIP and two parts kits, one for 32K and the other for 64K. The assembled unit may be requested as a loaner if you have trouble assembling your own BX35. A schematic is included.

There was some discussion here on using 10K resistors instead of 100K resistors for connecting the ATN line to pin 4 and to ground. Is this true for both of them , one of them or none ? Thanks ( Im using suggested BX35 schematic from BasicX ) I am also assuming the disconnect for operational should be between pin 4 and the resistor to the ATN pin2 of the BX35

> ... Is there any way to configure the BX35 so the ULN2803A outputs do not sink > on powerup? I think this is caused by a characteristic of AVRs, on which the BX35 is built. AVR I/O pins float (high-impedance) during a processor reset, as occurs at powerup. My guess is that the 2803 outputs might go low, perhaps weakly, while the inputs float high. Had I designed the LCDX I might ha

I would like to use the WatchDog Reset feature of the LCDX BX35/Atmel AT90S8535 processor. According to the available pdf documents online at Atmel web site: http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod_documents/DOC1041.PDF The MCU Status Register:MCUSR should be able to indicate a WatchDog Reset. Bits 7 thru 2 are Reserved Bits

Hello, I use the BX35 and I need a replacement AT25256 or AT25256A memory module. Atmel does not recommend either one of these chips in new designs. Most suppliers do not carry any stock anymore. I need the DIP form factor. I have tested the ON Semiconductor CAT25256LI-G and it seems to work well without any modifications to my circuit design. Also the Microchip 25AA256-I/P seems to be comp...

I am using a BX35 and inputing the output from Parallax's RFID reader and I should receive 12 bytes Byte 1 to 12 >> CR & Characters 1 to 10 & LF. Actual String is CR 0F027D6013 LF I process after the queue is >11 to get 12.I only get F027D6013 LF and two empty characters. So I only get byte 3 to 12 and nulls in 11 & 12

I have 4 new DS1302 chips and 4 new 32khz watch crystals intending to make a persistent RTC for my BX35 project. Problem is that after finally connecting all the stuff together on a breadboard and programming up a simple test routine I do not get healthy results. One of the DS2302's will count up the seconds register but appears to take from 4 to 8 (variable

I'm not having any luck getting technical support from Netmedia. I tried their on-line form a dozen times; it never accepted the submission. When I click the BX35 Documentation Overview then the Hardware R...

Can anyone supply circuits for driving contrast and brightness on an LCD connected to a BX35. I have browsed the Group messages and cannot see anything. Essentially I wish to build something similar to the LCDX but without all the pin consumption. Basically I would like to use the same technique LCDX uses to drive its display. Thanks Rod

Hi I have been doing some circuits with the BX-35 chip and one day I noticed that the onboard programmer I use (the suggested bx35 hookup schematic) didn't work well.
