In both my development board and a couple of my projects, I have lost the ability, on 3 devices, to control the LCD backlight. I had sent one of the units back to NetMedia and received a replacement, which worked for about 30 hours then failed. (No backlight) On the development board I am using pin 24 per the NetMedia supplied PDF docs to source the L

I'm not having any luck getting technical support from Netmedia. I tried their on-line form a dozen times; it never accepted the submission. I called the office in Tucson, hold, then told to leave a message, even for sales. Is anybody home? My question to the group: I'm trying to get technical documentation for the BX-35. Tom, Thank you for your support of the BasicX group, you will be missed! I've been working on other projects at NetMedia and haven't been putting the time I should have into BasicX. I've recently started back working on BasicX and should have many exciting new things in the near future. I recently changed my email address here at NetMedia, I was getting over 600 SPAMs a day after filte...

Has anyone experienced an early failure of NetMedia's 2x16 LCD? It worked fine for 3 days, then this morning (after resolving my excess usage of RAM last night) it would not fire up. No backlight nor any changes in the display elements. I cycled power 4 times and it came up

Hi, folks. I just got my first BX-24 (brand spanking new from NetMedia) a few weeks ago and have been doing some experimenting, but some things are happening that don't seem right. I have looked anywhere I can think of for answers, but don't see anything that addresses these questions. Can anyone explain these, or do I have a problem somewhere? 1. I set up a comm port using pin 11 for t...

This is just a sugestion. I'm mainly a Mac user and don't like switching between Mac & PC to program the BasicX. Couldn't NetMedia make a Mac version of their editor/downloader? I would make my own, but i'm a novice in progrmaing C/C++, Java, or RealBasic on a computer.

Hi Guys Sorry if an explaination is posted elsewhere.. but what happened to bxDism?? I could really use it right now, but it seems all trace of it has vanished? Was there a problem with Netmedia? I recently got the LCD4x20 from Netmedia and am so far pleased with it. I have learned it is as easy to confuse as am I. :) Sometimes streams of random ascii data blow it away. In the documentation there is no mention of the allowable ascii range of values and what they might equal.

Netmedia's Chris is clearly busy designing exciting new products and does not have time to effectively moderate here. If you guys read a question that you can correctly and concisely answer, do it. I expected surely that someone would easily have answered "is a Float ADC read faster", but to assume that apparently means no answer as the group becomes more apathetic. We were once new, to...

I searched the archive and saw a message from Jan of 2003 requesting the undo feature. I just tried to do undo in the first file I'm creating and see there isn't this option. In terms of any modern IDE, this is barbaric. Come on NetMedia, get out of the stone age. Zero
