I tried programming (for the first time) a 12f675 with my Wisp628. The programmer can't read the target ID. IS this because I am not using the additional circuit (the 'dongle') ? http://www.voti.nl/wisp628/pics/dongle.gif

Hello all, I\'ve spent several days now stuggling with the my PIC16F876 setup and the Wisp628 programmer. I managed to program the device once (code shown bellow) but after that found it impossible to connect again to the target (either to identify, clear, read or write). In trying to get it going again I\'ve tried the following (unsuccessfully): -separate power supplies for Wisp628 and PIC...

I assume that if I power the Wisp628 with 5V via the 3-pin header I should be able to program a PIC in a circuit running on 3V. Correct? Is there a way I can isolate a 3V-only device (it won't tolerate 5V) from the 5V signals coming from the Wisp? Mike

I recently picked up a Wisp628, which works wonderfully (Thanks Wouter van Ooijen!). However, I've run into a problem with one of my designs, and I'm not sure if it's something I've set up incorrectly with my circuit, or if it's in my code. I have a device that is set to sl
