Hello to all, I m working on the AD7656, Bipolar 16 bit ADC. I would like to write the inial boot up code and diagnostic code for the same ADC. Could any one please give me some guidelines to start the programming this ADC. Is any one currently working on this ADC? Is any one having the idea of this kind of ADC.This is first time i m working on the analog devices, so please guide me..........

Is there any way to multiplex highspeed ADC's? I'm looking at playing with accelerometers, and so far the best I can figure out is a ADC...

Is there any way to multiplex highspeed ADC's? I'm looking at playing with accelerometers, and so far the best I can figure out is a ADC to every single accelerometer. Which is silly, they'd be generating n-devices worth of data but my microcontroller would probably only be able to stream in one or two devices at best (bw limitation). Seems like one or two ADC's would be best. Uh, I did...

Hello, I am doing a project using ATmega8. For that we need an ADC of atleast 5Msps. We first thought of using the built in ADC but I want to know the maximum samples per second for the in built ADC? I guess it is around 150Ksps but I am not sure. Can I increase this sample rate by loading the prescalar value like one or 2? Could someone help. Thanks with regards

One has to figure out whether and how to do it on a per case basis. For example, in a medical device I recently designed I had both control over a synthesized analog output and the ADC readback of it; that makes it easy.
