I have a straight out of the box Olimex Arm-7 board, plugged into a just purchased Segger J-link JTAG adaptor. On powering up, the host software can't detect the target, the LED on the JTAG modules is orange. I posted this on the Segger forum, and the advice was that the Olimex board was in reset. I then posted this back on the Olimex forum and have not received any responses in a week. ...

Hi, Can somebody confirm or deny with certainty whether the LPC-2478STK from Olimex (http://www.olimex.com/dev/lpc-2478stk.html) has Qt in its distribution CD? I am looking to develop some Qt based application. If you have used this kit, could you please tell if its distribution CD has any other GUI tool-kits/libraries for uClinux? Regards, Anand

As you probably know, Olimex is having capacity problems and has therefore stopped taking orders for PCB's to be manufactured. As I needed some boards made I decided to look into alternatives. I found this one: http://store.iteadstudio.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=19_20 Apparently, their boards are manufactured in China. They're also dirt cheap, cheaper even than Olimex, so I...

After getting my feet wet with a small photovore robot, now i want to experiment some more. Previously I was using a crude programmer that i built myself, but i'd really like some debugging features. Sparkfun has the olimex PIC-ICD2 ( a drop in replacement for the Microchip In-Circuit-Debugger 2 (ICD2)) for about $95.. Does anyone have any experience with this product? Does it work as...

Hi, Can anyone advise me if I can use my Olimex USB MAXQ2000 JTAG programmer to program ARM microcontrollers?. The 10 pin connector would have to have a 20 pin adapter made to match up the JTAG signals correctly. Internally it contains a FTDI FT232BM, a LCX244 and a DS89C430 micro if that's any help. tia Mark

Hello all. :-) I''m new to the ARM world, but after much struggling, I''ve managed to figure out how to compile and load code into RAM using an openocd JTAG programmer from Olimex. Using Eclipse or Insight as the debugger makes no difference in the behavior. The problem is that I seem to be getting random crashes when running the code (simple LED blinker with for/next delay loops). Some...

I recently acquired a new laptop, which (of course) has no parallel port. I've been looking into MSP430F169 board from Olimex to use in a prototyping/testing situation for an FPGA. I'm impressed with the MSP430 line, but I'd like to be able to do the device programming and debugging from my usual Linux development environment. Both TI and Olimex make USB-> JTAG programmers/debuggers
