Hi, I was wondering if there's any microcontroller with built-in 1394 support i.e. with the appropriate hardware connectivity and a firewire stack in firmware? Google just gave me that MindReady solution which appears to be quite expensive. Thanks in advance Roland

I have a situation where after performing a halt and re-going on the ICE I am using, one of the interrupts effectively becomes disabled, ie.. its like it has become masked, however I have checked the interrupt mask afterwards and its still intact.. And its only one interrupt which is being affected. Maybe a hardware issue.. Its an older system so who knows. Any help appreciated. Thanks in ...

Greetings all, As some of you know, I have been programming embedded thingies for quite some time now. Unfortunately, to date, I have never had a need for, or used, an RTOS. Now I am working on some heavy duty stuff, with TI's DM642 DSP in the middle of each (modular) hardware component. Well, it seems that TI's philosophy for documentation is to spread the specific information that one...

I have been watching the PSOC for some time now and I have never had an application where it was remotely applicable. But now I think I may have a use for it. I am having trouble finding a good low power MCU that has the peripherals that I need. The PSOC, with its configurable hardware, can morph into whatever I need. In the past when I have looked at the tools, I was not impressed. In ...

Iwo and Wolfgang (=previous contributers), thank you for your informative answers The topic's name is not appropriate so i had to start a new one, sorry about that. Perhaps going backwards from the desired solution to the hardware that will allow it is better. Basically what I need is 4-8 DSPS that acquire data at the rate of 25Mbps each and apart from running some algorithms (F...

Thanks everyone for helping me out with my previous question. Unfortunately, here's another one. I've managed to connect to my SocketModem from the modem in my PC. Both are V90s but I can't get a connection rate greater than 33.6K. When I'm on the Net on the PC, the connection speed is either 50.6K or 52.0K so the hardware is definitely capable. Is there some extra set-up that should be don...

Greetings! Sorry for the delay in writing. It's been busy with "visitors", lately. It was good seeing all of you -- looking forward to April! I made the Doppler additions to the demo you saw. You should be able to play with it on your existing hardware. There's a ReadMe that explains the controls. I started porting the OS to a small ARM development board. Goal is to mak
