Hi All, I have an image sensor module which has an UART output format. Now, I want to get it work and transport the image data to PC for testing! What need I do to get it? The sensor works at least 460KBaud. I need the fast way to get it work, any suggestion would be great appreciated! Thanks! Jacky

Hi, I want to realize a wireless sensor network at 868MHz: this network should be used in open ambient, so long range (and low power) is important for me. What do you think is the better solution? About protocol: i thougth ZigBee, but i haven't found interesting solution at this range (I may be mistaken)...A standard implementation is the best solution, but non strictly necessary....For me a...

Hi, I interfaced a Micron MT9T001 with Spartan3 evaluation board, I can save a fragment of image on SRAM, and now deciding which USB controller to use so that I can transfer the raw image data to PC directly from the sensor. The bandwidth for the output data needs 30MB/s (640*480*98fps). I used FT2232 before but it supports up to 1Mb/s only, so I am finding a IC USB controller that can support...

Hi Guys, I'm pushing along learning C (using MPLAB + C18 on an 18LF14K22). I've what I think is a pretty basic problem..... I'm reading a 14 bit result back from a I2C sensor and have managed to get a sensible result stored in a variable called Data[], I've defined this as follows: unsigned char Data[2]; //Data from I2C sensor Data[0] ends up holding the high byte, Data[0] the l...

Hi everyone, I want to buy c3038 camera module that uses omnivision's ov6630 image sensor. I'm trying to make an interface for this camera in fpga to grab the frame. To have the complete control over the incoming data, I thought of using camera in slave mode. But there seems to be two problem with that: i) The ov6630 datasheet says that 'hsync' signal from master should be connected to c...

Hi, I am looking for a low cost weight sensor. I am trying to provide a indication of the amount of paper available. The empty container is approx. 1kg, and approx. 10kg full of paper. It should be able to handle industrial temperature range. A resolution of 1kg would be acceptable. If I can get 100g resolution, it would be great. I would prefer SPI or I2C interface, but analog out would...

I would like to develop a smart sensor, which is an embedded device running linux. The sensors collect the data from the field, then pass the data to the server at the office. To avoid hack and protect data safety, I am thinking about implementing VPN at both the sensor side and server side. Now I have a few questions? 1. Is VPN the best solution for data security about this type of applic...

This idea is used to serve my old idea of "Image stabilization by means of software.". I was aware that it was difficult to find angular sensor that can run at 1MS/s. I will have a cubic enclosure, two perpendicular walls are made of small/fast image sensors. I use a hanging ball and a laser to shine upon it. The image sensors will detect the exact location of the ball (hopefully 1000 time...

Hi, I tried to look for similar topics in the archive but no luck. I have a cmos image sensor, and it has a "two-wire serial interface" to read/write its on-chip registers. I tried to treat it like a I2C protocol, and fed a 100KHz at SCL, and write an address byte at SDA, but cannot get the acknowledge bit. Is it about the values of pull-up resistors in SCL and SDA? Or the clocking frequ...
