Hi Is it just me or does anyone else think that Microchips latest move (removing Microchip FAEs from distributers), is another big mistake? Already my companys biggest distributer has decided to stop pushing Microchip (because they can no longer provide the full support package), in favor of Atmel. I know that Microchip think that providing all an FAEs function using their new onli...

This in the news: "Microchip sues Zilog over 8-pin microcontrollers" and it's not April 1st ? Microchip used to be an engineering focused company, who took a small Micrcontroller core, and used it very well. Now, it seems Zilog must be taking a chunk of their pie, and they cannot compete on technical merit alone ? So, let's glance at what innovation they claim to have ? ...

Hi, I have the Cypress FX2LP development kit, and according to the manual, I can select either large EEPROM(Microchip 24LC128) for simulation or small EEPROM(Microchip 24LC00) for debugging. Since I'm still in my development stage, I'm debugging the firmware, so I'm choosing small EEPROM. The problem is that I wish to address another I2C EEPROM chip in my firmware, a Microchip 24AA08.
